Lake, coast or cruising: consider your plans, crew size and berth. Compare length, draught, cabins and equipment before contacting sellers.
Inspect the boat in person
Ask for recent photos, maintenance history and known defects. A visit and sea trial help compare the listing with the boat's actual condition; an independent survey can complement your checks.
Budget beyond the purchase price
